It has been confirmed that Gossip Girl will have a second season airing in fall 2008 with 24 new episodes Michelle Trachtenberg is stated to have signed a contract as a regular on the show, which may mean that she is coming back next season. It's been confirmed that the season begins in the Hamptons. Shooting begins late June. The new season will premiere on September 1st.
