SPEAK! wow... It's such a nice, powerful little film. :)
I was looking up for Kristen Stewart and I happen to find myself reading the synopsis of a movie she did way back when she was 13. Why was I looking up for her? :)) I really find her awkward and I said that if maybe I could find her in a film that would help me like her as an actress at least. And so I watched SPEAK. (The movie parts are up on YouTube.)
This independent film is about Melinda, the freshman who stopped talking after being raped by a senior the past summer. The movie is told in her eyes and her thoughts are shared which are often sarcastic and funny. Melinda deals with her issues alone, with parents that barely exist and friends that have turned their backs against her, but she gets to express herself through art. ;)
AS an actress, she's very good and her being awkward might be the reason why she's getting great roles like Bella Swan. ;)
The only thing that I'd probably be hard on myself on is if I HAVE NOT SAID ENOUGH...This is what this blog is for. For the times I let that moment pass me by, when it should have counted the most and I must have said my piece. :( Writing it down... makes up for it... even though I'd never get that chance ever again. I redeem myself with this blog. (deep sigh.) =)) =)) =))
FYI: Did you know that she stars in this movie with her still boyfriend Michael Angarano (Sky High)?
She's already 19 and he's 21. That's like forever.

Speak is based on a really, really good book. I strongly recommend it.
:) true. It is and the movie, I've read, portrays the book effectively. :) I didn't read the book. :))
