The problem when you're young is that you don't have the money to travel. When you grow up your problem is that you're striving to earn the money and too busy at it. And when you get old you don't enjoy it as much even if you have all the money. Somewhere in the middle you need to compromise.
Going to Hong Kong as our first family vacation outside the country was five years in the making. (Took so long right?) I used to ask my parents why aren't we traveling when everyone I knew has already been somewhere. (But in fairness to them they allowed me to go to Japan 2 years ago. HAHA.) Hence, we went to the land of Chip Tsao last Tuesday and came home late last night.
We were on tourista-mode the whole time, visiting top the must-see places and everything one must try but it was the little things that stood out to me. Things like strolling around and getting lost, going to the not-so glamorous side of the city and making a few Indian friends along the way. :)) [Slumdog millionare was a great conversation starter. :>]
