MOVIE REVIEW: Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo

being able to watch last year's MMFF entry, "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo" I have the authority to post my review of the film's sequel: "Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo" since i have a well-informed opinion. (naks)
as the two lead stars' promotions have suggested this film is definitely better than the last one. Why? it's because the characters are already established and we have grown to love them. not only that, each character now has depth into their being and has their own plots.
i watched "SSS" at podium (because i just heard that it's chaotic over at galleria and there's no way we will be able to watch at megamall) and it was jam packed! people obviously were thrilled to watch the sequel because there was no contest that last year's best picture should have been "KKK". The story is vey pinoy and very appealing. once in a while we would laugh out loud with the witty remarks thrown out by Bronson's character and Bellita and Mamita's encounters! with all these many things going on in the film one may wonder what do you learn. but the film really let's you realize the feeling of a parent. how different it is when you are already one and when you already have no time for your own.
it's really nice to see movies that aren't cheesy, corny, baduy, and jologs that are seemingly degrading filipino quality films. i would like to praise the very original story that is very refreshing since it doesn't copy from any hollywood concept! it's very full of pure filipino values that would surely register in every one's mind after watching this film! i'm very confident that with these types of films made, the entertainment industry of the Philippines would be supported by the people! kudos to the film's director: Jose Javier Reyes for defying what films would click to the Filipino's taste. i believe that we aren't just about fantasy and Hollywood rehashes. we are a smart audience and we deserve this type of film. I HOPE THERE WOULD BE A THREEQUEL!!!! it doesn't need to be of the same scrammbled type of title.
starring: Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo, Gina Pareno, Gloria Diaz, Ariel Ureta, Dominic Ochoa and Tuesday Vargas!
