Today, my sister and I went out to watch one of the must-see movies of summer (the other being Iron Man) Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull! I knew I had to watch it because everyone was raving about how good it was… and it really is! It took how many years for this to push through, waiting for a good script to come along, and finally it did happen and the magic of Indiana Jones has returned on screen!
I liked the movie because they kept it vintage! Nothing drastic really occurred and it remained true to its roots. It didn’t try too hard to be appealing because it naturally was! Casting couldn’t have been more perfect. I mean, Shia LaBeouf came a very long way since his Even Steven days. Now he joins in the movie as Indiana’s son! How cool is that? Him being part of the movie encouraged the young audience to watch the movie since probably everybody now looks up to him after 2007’s blockbusters, Transformers and Disturbia!
Now I know that movies like The Mummy and National Treasure took some notes on how to create a successful action-adventure with a little mix of romance and comedy as what Indiana Jones did over the years. Can’t wait for the 5th one and see if Harrison resumes or Shia takes on the role! :))

PS: Shia must have caught the fancy of Spielberg because he produced both Disturbia and Transformers, he directed him on Indiana... now he produces EAGLE EYE an upcoming Action thriller set to be released on 09/27 of this year! Talk about being a protege of Spielberg... HOW COOL! :D
